
Life can change in a flash, and that’s what happened; when the world was brought to its knees because of the pandemic. Overnight businesses were disrupted and livelihoods lost. We learned to live with less, and that set me thinking. You can and should learn to live with what you have, with what you can; but the most important factor is — you must always celebrate life.
That was the starting point for my book. How do I create an experience of happiness, style, and yet be cooking within a budget? Scale back the large spending, yet bring in the panache of a dining effect in terms of flavors, simplicity and elegance. It is with this thought that I started working on these recipes. I gave myself a budget of $1 (INR 75) to do a complete dish and here is my great collection of deliciousness.
